A 4-year-old boy calls 911 on his ‘bad mom’ after she did this one thing to set him off

Children these days are learning technology at surprisingly young ages.

But sometimes that knowledge results in some hilarious hijinks.

And a 4-year-old boy calls 911 on his ‘bad mom’ after she did this one thing to set him off.

A 4-year-old boy called the cops after his mother ate his ice cream, police reported.

“Mom being bad”

The ice cream theft occurred on March 4 in the town of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, which is located seven miles west of Racine.

Police say they were contacted by a 4-year-old boy who reported his “mom being bad,” according to a statement released by the Village of Mount Pleasant Police Department.

“Officer Gardinier and Officer Ostergaard were dispatched for a 911 hangup,” authorities said. “A little boy called 911 saying his mom was being bad and needed to go to jail.”

When officers arrived at the home, the young boy told them, “his mom ate his ice cream and needed to go to jail for it.”

But the boy then told the officers that he had changed his mind.

He said, “he no longer wanted her to go to jail and just wanted some ice cream.”

The surprised but affable officers chatted with the boy and his mother and then left the home once they verified that this was indeed the reason why they had been called.

But they surprised the boy by returning the next day, and showed up with some ice cream for the boy “after he decided he didn’t want mom in trouble anymore,” police said.

And the responding officers weren’t the only ones who find humor in the good humor situation either.

“I’m not saying he’s right. All I am saying is I understand,” said one person responding to the Village of Mount Pleasant Police Department’s post about the incident on social media.

At least he knows how to call for help

Another responded by saying, “At least he knows how to call for help. It could save someone’s life one day!”

“I love hearing about our amazing officers creating positive relationships with kids,” another social media user said. “Keep the good news coming!”

The officers who responded even took a picture with the 4-year-old after the incident was over and were able to find humor in the ice cream caper.

In this time of turmoil, crime, and bad news, it is quite refreshing to be able to read a feel-good story.

Maybe not as refreshing as some good ice cream, but welcome, nonetheless.

Let’s hope that the next time the mom wants some ice cream she doesn’t take it from the mouth of her young child.

Or he just may have to call on his new friends at the police department to come to help him set things right.

And the next time he may not decide to drop the charges and settle just for some ice cream.

Of course, repeat visits by police may not continue to be so friendly.
