A Tullahoma Teacher Got Called Out Over Charlie Kirk and the School Board Just Made Every Classroom Pay

A Tullahoma teacher got called out over her comments on Charlie Kirk's assassination – and a Pride flag turned up in the very photo that exposed her.

Now the same school board that once let political flags hang in every hallway just voted unanimously to tear them all down.

What they replaced those flags with – and what triggered the unanimous vote – is something every conservative parent in America needs to see.

The Flag That Started a Firestorm

Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

Across the country, teachers who mocked or celebrated that murder got caught fast.

A Chicago teacher was filmed miming a gunshot to her own neck at a protest.

A New York physics teacher posted crudely about the killing, sneering it was "good riddance to bad garbage."

Tullahoma had its own version – a teacher criticized locally for her comments on Kirk's death, with a Pride flag allegedly visible in the same classroom photo that got her called out.

Former Tullahoma Alderman Daniel Berry started a petition demanding "Only American and Tennessee flags in Tullahoma classrooms."

Nearly 700 residents signed it.

That petition landed on the school board's desk – and this week, every single board member voted yes.

What the Vote Actually Did

Every flag but two is now banned from Tullahoma school buildings – only the Stars and Stripes and the Tennessee state flag stay up permanently.

Teachers keep some leeway – a flag tied to a specific lesson or an approved school program can still go up temporarily.

What they lost is the standing display – the Pride flag can no longer just live on the wall as a year-round fixture.

Berry argued every child deserves "a classroom that's dedicated to learning and not advocacy."

That's not a radical statement.

That's what every parent in this country used to be able to assume.

The Left Already Has Its Counterattack Ready

The Coffee County Democratic Party isn't taking this sitting down.

Vice Chair Andrew Head told reporters the goal was to "protect the LGBTQ youth in our community."

He also announced the next move – Democrats plan to run candidates for upcoming Tullahoma school board seats.

Translation – they lost the flag fight, so now they want the board itself.

This is how the left operates.

They lose a vote, they recruit a candidate.

They get removed from a classroom, they file a lawsuit.

They get exposed over their reaction to a man's murder, they claim victim status.

The Tennessee House passed a statewide Pride flag ban back in 2024 by a 70-24 vote – and the state Senate killed it months later.

What Tullahoma just proved is that you don't need the state legislature when parents show up and school boards actually listen.

This Is How Parents Win

Tullahoma isn't the first district to pass a ban like this – Carroll County, Maryland and Temecula, California did it too.

But those votes split 4-1 and 3-2 along party lines on the board.

Tullahoma's passed without a single no vote.

That's the difference parents organizing at the local level can make when the case is undeniable.

It doesn't require a lawsuit, a protest, or a state bill that dies in the Senate.

It requires neighbors who notice what's on the classroom wall, a petition that proves they're not alone, and a school board willing to act on it.

Tullahoma just showed every conservative community in America exactly how it's done.
