"SURPRISE!!! Barry is feeling great…so great that he's decided to add six additional concerts to his existing March schedule," his team posted on Instagram.

The new shows hit Charlotte, Norfolk, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Nashville, and Lexington during the first week of March.

This comes less than a month after Manilow revealed doctors found a cancerous spot on his left lung.

The "Copacabana" singer shared on December 22 that the cancer was caught early after his doctor ordered an MRI following 11 weeks of bronchitis.

"It's pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early," Manilow wrote at the time.

His operation went so well that he's not just returning to the stage.

He's expanding his farewell tour to cities he wasn't planning to visit.

These concerts are billed as "The Last Concerts" because Manilow plans to retire after this tour.

"Years from now, when you look back on these dates, you'll want to know you were there to say goodbye," the announcement stated.

Manilow posted a hospital selfie earlier this month showing him in a green gown with a big smile.

"Better Today!" he captioned the photo.

The Brooklyn-born entertainer beat throat cancer back in 2020.

Manilow caught that cancer early too and successfully recovered without compromising his singing career.

He's also battled bronchial pneumonia in 1982, a mouth tumor in 1986, heart problems in 2004, and had two hip surgeries in 2006 and 2011.

The singer admitted in a 2012 interview that he smoked three packs a day for 30 years.

He started smoking at age nine while growing up in Brooklyn.

Manilow quit decades ago but relapsed in Las Vegas when someone offered him a cigarette.

"Within a week I was back," he confessed to the London Evening Standard.

His longtime smoking habit likely contributed to both his throat and lung cancer diagnoses.

But doctors believe the lung cancer hasn't spread and Manilow won't need chemotherapy or radiation.

"Just chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns," Manilow joked about his recovery plan.

The Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award winner has been performing at his Las Vegas residency at the Westgate for years.

He broke Elvis Presley's record of 636 performances at the venue in 2023.

Medical guidelines don't recommend routine lung cancer screening for everyone.

Manilow's first comeback show happens February 27 in Tampa before the six new March dates kick off.

He'll honor a local music teacher at each concert with $5,000 cash and $5,000 for classroom instruments through his Manilow Music Project.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale January 16 after presales earlier in the week.
