Biden is hiding behind Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster to try and cover up his inflation

Mar 12, 2024

The price of everyday necessities is skyrocketing, and Americans are getting not only worried but very angry.

The Democrats are now terrified that people know who to blame for this problem, and Biden’s dusting off the old playbook, hoping he can shift the blame.

Now Biden is even using this character from Sesame Street to help get the heat off him.

Joe Biden’s reckless spending and borrowing drove up inflation to record levels, and Americans are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet.

To shift the blame from his disastrous policies, President Biden is trotting out a time-honored Democrat tactic – blame corporate greed.

Biden took to social media to condemn companies for reducing the size of their products.

As a lifelong politician without any discernible knowledge of market forces, Joe Biden may believe companies haven’t been impacted by “Bidenflation” and producing their products doesn’t cost significantly more today.

It’s more likely, though, that he understands full well but hopes he can convince the public that greedy businesses, not his bad policies, are responsible for burdensome price increases and smaller packages.

Biden told his White House Competition Council, “Some of the small snack companies think you won’t even notice what they are doing when they charge you just as much for the same size bag of potato chips, only there’s a hell of a lot fewer chips in it.”

Cookie Monster instructs Biden on economics

Biden then quoted a ridiculous comment posted on X by far-left Sesame Street writers.

“I’ll tell you who did notice: the Cookie Monster. He pointed out his cookies are getting smaller, but he’s paying the same price,” Biden said.

Biden then added, “I was stunned when I found out that’s what actually happened.”

It’s up for grabs what’s more disturbing, that the President of the United States doesn’t understand companies have to make a profit to continue to exist or that he’s learning about the economic hardships he’s created from a puppet.

Even Biden’s inept press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, was flummoxed by Biden’s Cookie Monster interaction.

She exclaimed, “I can’t believe I’m having a conversation about the Cookie Monster at the podium!”

Joe Biden’s ignorance is no laughing matter

If the consequences of Biden’s tax-and-spend policies weren’t so dire, this entire episode would be hilarious.

But Americans are suffering, and there’s nothing funny about that.

Biden’s solution to what he’s calling “shrinkflation” is no laughing matter either.

He’s created a “strike force” of Deep State bureaucrats from the Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission to go after businesses they deem to have “unfair” pricing.

Considering the Biden administration’s shameful history of targeting anyone who doesn’t toe the party line, companies who have been turning their back on profit-killing DEI policies should brace for the worst.

Stark reality overcomes lies

Joe Biden seems to believe he can convince the American people he isn’t responsible for the terrible price they are paying for his reckless spending and borrowing.

He’s wrong.

57% of Americans say they disapprove of President Biden’s handling of the economy, according to RealClearPolitics.

Gas lighting, iconic puppets, and new buzzwords don’t change the reality average Americans are living every day.

And come Election Day, voters will hold Joe Biden accountable for the suffering he’s inflicted.
