The 73-year-old coaching legend, who led the Patriots to six Super Bowl championships before departing last year, sat for an interview with CBS News correspondent Tony Dokoupil. But it was Belichick’s girlfriend, 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, who stole the spotlight with her unexpected intervention.
When Dokoupil asked the seemingly innocent question, “How did you guys meet?” viewers were treated to a surprising moment as Hudson’s voice rang out from off-camera.
“We’re not talking about this,” Hudson declared firmly, shutting down the line of questioning before Belichick could even respond.

The six-time Super Bowl champion coach, never one to share much about his personal life, didn’t contradict Hudson or attempt to answer the question himself.

The exchange has set sports media ablaze with speculation about the dynamic between the coaching legend and his girlfriend, who is nearly 50 years his junior.
NBC Sports has reported that Hudson has “a very active role” in Belichick’s professional life and is “exerting a very high degree of influence” over the coach.

Controversy over Patriots departure continues
The interview also touched on Belichick’s departure from the Patriots after 24 seasons, with the coach insisting it was a “mutual decision” to part ways with team owner Robert Kraft.
When Dokoupil pressed him on the matter, noting that Kraft had publicly used the word “fired,” Belichick doubled down, repeating the term “mutual decision.”
The coach’s new biography has raised eyebrows for its apparent omission of Kraft, despite their two-decade partnership that produced the greatest dynasty in modern NFL history.
Belichick has since moved on to college football, accepting a five-year contract to coach the University of North Carolina Tar Heels – his first head coaching position at the collegiate level.
