Costco’s AG1 surprise could be great news for the Trump movement to make America healthy again

Pharmaceutical manufactures are routinely accused of trying to keep Americans sick and dependent on their products.

Now the drug makers will be worried sick.

Because Costco’s AG1 surprise could be great news for the Trump movement to make America healthy again.

AG1 ditches its online-only strategy for Costco shelves

You probably know AG1 from those podcast ads where influencers rave about their daily green powder ritual.

The company built a massive following selling directly to customers through their website.

No middleman, no retail markup, just premium supplements shipped straight to your door.

But AG1 just threw that playbook out the window.

They announced a partnership with Costco that puts their products in over 600 warehouse stores nationwide.

This isn’t some small test run either – we’re talking about AG1’s first real retail partnership after doing business online-only since 2010.

"This retail partnership marks a significant strategic milestone in our business," said AG1 CEO Kat Cole.

The move caught industry insiders completely off guard.

Most direct-to-consumer brands stick to what works, especially when they’re already making serious money.

But AG1 decided to shake things up in a big way.

Why this partnership changes everything

Here’s what makes this deal so interesting – AG1 picked Costco as their retail partner.

Not Target, not Walmart, not even Whole Foods.

They went with the warehouse giant that’s known for bulk buying and member loyalty.

Costco shoppers trust the store’s buyers to vet products before they hit the shelves.

Getting that Costco stamp of approval means something in the supplement world.

"We’ve grown an incredible DTC business over the past 15 years, and it is time to expand access to the high quality daily foundation nutrition of AG1 to customers who prefer a physical retail experience," Cole explained.

AG1 will sell 40-count single-serve stick packs at Costco locations.

That’s a smart move because it lets people try the product without committing to a monthly subscription.

The stick packs are perfect for travelers or anyone who wants to test AG1 before going all-in.

Cole added that Costco’s "commitment to quality and its unrivaled dedication to members and their experience" made them the right retail partner.

AG1 built their reputation on premium ingredients, rigorous testing, and word-of-mouth marketing.

The company has been around since 2010, quietly building a customer base of professional athletes and health fanatics with a product that combines multivitamins, minerals, whole food nutrients, and probiotics in one daily scoop.

Other brands are scrambling to keep up

AG1’s Costco deal comes at the perfect time for the company.

They just launched AG1 Next Gen, which they say is backed by four clinical trials.

The company also committed $20 million to research over the next three years.

That’s serious money.

Kat Cole took over as CEO last July and she’s been pushing the company to expand beyond their online comfort zone.

The timing makes sense because the supplement industry has been going through major changes.

AG1’s move into retail could force other companies to step up their game or get left behind.

Costco has a loyal customer base that trusts the store’s product selection.

Getting shelf space there is like getting an endorsement from millions of members.

That’s going to make it a lot harder on some competitors – even ones that could be superior and provide a better value.

But only time will tell if AG1’s product maintains its reputation or if they end up cutting corners like so many brands once they hit the big box stores.
