Hasan Piker Attacked the Widow of Charlie Kirk over Her Own Tribute

Charlie Kirk was gunned down at a college campus in front of his own family.

Hasan Piker, who once shared a debate stage with him, just led a crowd in singing about his death.

Then Piker turned his mockery into an attack on the widow still grieving her husband.

Piker Leads Crowd in Singing Meme Song Mocking Kirks Death

Video circulating on X this weekend shows Piker on stage at a live tour stop, leading a cheering crowd through the "We Are Charlie Kirk" meme song while his podcast co-hosts laughed beside him.

Piker called it one of the most surreal moments of his life.

The song is AI-generated and was released just days after Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University last September.

Conservative streamer Lauren Chen posted the video and said Piker had crossed a line no one should cross.

She recalled sharing a stage with both men at Politicon, saying Kirk and Piker were combative on camera but "still jovial and amicable with each other once it was done".

Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet did not mince words either, writing that "Hasan Piker is engaging in pure, unadulterated evil" and pairing it with a warning from the Book of Proverbs.

Piker Defends Himself by Attacking Kirks Widow

Piker did not back down. He went on Twitch and claimed his own regard for Kirk outweighs how Kirk's widow herself has honored him.

He accused what he called an "entire sea of Kirk profiteers" of cashing in on the assassination.

He put Erika Kirk in that category by name.

Then came the line that should follow Piker around for the rest of his career.

Referencing the memorial where Erika Kirk appeared onstage as fireworks went off behind her, Piker sneered that critics "would be less mad if I had fireworks on stage like his wife".

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said none of the left's reactions to Kirk's death have "reached the level" of Piker leading a crowd in mocking his faith. Turley called it part of a broader "conditioning in an age of rage."

This is not new territory for Piker. He is the same commentator who once declared that "America deserved 9/11."

Democrats Are Stuck with Him

Piker is not some fringe figure the Democratic Party can pretend not to know.

He has campaigned alongside Rep. Ilhan Omar.

He has stood on stage with Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong this year.

He has been a fixture at rallies for Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed.

Even people who usually give the left a pass are done making excuses for him.

Veteran journalist Mark Halperin called Piker "a horrible person."

Halperin said Piker might be the one guy who doesn't get the benefit of the doubt anymore.

Democratic strategists are now stuck asking themselves an ugly question: is Piker's audience worth what he costs them.

That debate should have ended the moment he mocked a dead man's faith for laughs and then attacked his widow for grieving in public.

Analysis

This is not a gaffe. It is a pattern.

Piker has spent years testing how far he can push political cruelty before it costs him anything.

Compare the reaction. When Kirk was alive, he was branded dangerous and divisive – right up until a gunman decided a college campus was the place to end his life.

Now the man who once shared a stage with him leads a crowd in laughing about it, and it still takes days of public shaming before a single prominent Democrat is willing to say his name in criticism.

Erika Kirk did not ask for any of this.

She buried her husband.

She stood on a stage to honor him.

The reward for that grief is a streamer with a national platform comparing her tribute to his own mockery.

If Democrats keep sharing stages with Piker after this, they are not just tolerating one bad actor.

They are telling the country exactly what they think a murdered man's memory is worth.
