Joe Rogan vindicated again as music icon Neil Young changes his tune

Mar 21, 2024

During the pandemic, there was a great deal of misinformation spread.

Unfortunately, most of it is by public health authorities.

Anyone who disagreed with Fauci was an enemy to many fanatics leading to many attempts to cancel people’s careers.

But Joe Rogan is vindicated again after the music icon, Neil Young, changes his tune and sees the light.

Neil Young tried to cancel Joe Rogan over COVID stance in 2021

In October of 2021, Joe Rogan was attacked relentlessly over his use of Ivermectin to treat himself during a bout with COVID-19.

CNN, The Washington Post, The Atlantic—every one of them published hit pieces over Rogan’s interest in rejecting the mainstream position on treating COVID patients.

The news outlets responded by accusing Rogan of ingesting veterinary medicines for horses.

Eventually the attack spread to a full attack by Hollywood elites everywhere—and one of them was Neil Young.

The iconic musician sought to have Rogan stripped of his position on the Spotify streaming network by pulling all his music.

“I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines—possibly causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them…they can have Rogan or Young. Not both,” he wrote in his request to end the partnership.

Young changes his tune and returns to “low-res” Spotify

Now Young has made a dramatic change of tune from the man that once said that
Spotify’s stance is “very damaging.”

The singer republished all his music to the platform.

“Spotify, the #1 streamer of low-res music in the world—Spotify where you get less quality than we made, will now be home of my music again,” he wrote in an announcement.

The singer cited other music services like Apple and Amazon serving up the Rogan podcast as a reason for his new position.

If they are all bad, then he might as well go with all of them.

“I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did Spotify, because my music would have very few streaming outlets for music lovers at all,” he said.

Young said that his only wish is that Spotify would “improve” their sound quality in the future.

The game of chicken with Spotify was ill-conceived for Young considering Rogan was popular enough to get a $250 million deal with the streaming service in 2020.

There was little chance he would pressure the streaming giant so it makes sense that he caved.

Rogan says it’s “great to know” that Young has “ethics”

Joe Rogan laughed off the change of position in a recent interview with X influencer, James Lyndsay.

Discussing the circumstances of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan said “Neil Young came back to Spotify…Congratulations, Neil.”

The top-podcaster and comedian pointed out the fact that he left over disinformation but now he’s willing to accept it because the narrative is falling apart.

Rogan mocked Young for staying involved with “all of the platforms” that allow Rogan’s messaging.

“So, he’ll just go back on Spotify too…great to know you’ve got some ethics!” Rogan said of Young.

Lyndsay joked that “everybody’s doing” misinformation these days so Young is in the clear.
