Charlie Kirk was shot dead in front of a stunned campus crowd less than two weeks ago.
The lawyer representing Austin's ICE shooting suspect just mocked that exact moment online.
What she wrote about Kirk's death before deleting it now has conservatives questioning her credibility on the case.
Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch's Deleted Post Exposed the Whole Operation
Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch is the Austin immigration attorney running point on the media narrative around the shooting of Venezuelan illegal alien Wilber Rafael Garces Perez.
She posted this about Charlie Kirk: "How do you resist getting shot in the neck?"
She followed it by sarcastically asking whether Kirk had any advice to offer.
This is the woman who has spent the past few days on national television demanding accountability for ICE.
She deleted the post.
Lincoln-Goldfinch said the comment could be read the wrong way and took it down.
It wasn't misconstrued.
It was a joke about a man who had just been shot to death.
And the woman who wrote it is the same person shaping your understanding of what happened when ICE confronted a Venezuelan national with a final order of removal in North Austin.
Lincoln-Goldfinch is not just a defense attorney doing her job.
She is a professional open-borders activist.
She served as a commissioner on Austin Mayor Steve Adler's immigrant affairs board, works as pro bono liaison for the Texas chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and sits on the board of Casa Marianella, an Austin immigrant shelter and advocacy group.
Her own professional biography describes her as "an activist for immigrants."
That is who the media handed the microphone to when they needed someone to contradict DHS.
Wilber Garces Perez's ICE Shooting Story Doesn't Match the Evidence
Lincoln-Goldfinch's version of events is dramatic.
She claims ICE agents in an unmarked vehicle ran her DoorDash-delivering client off the road, sideswiped him, then shot him in the back of the neck before ever announcing who they were.
The evidence tells a different story.
Surveillance footage shows no apparent damage to Garces Perez's vehicle.
Bodycam footage from Austin police officers shows them helping Garces Perez out of the vehicle – not yanking him out, as his attorney claimed.
ICE pursued with lights and sirens active, not in some covert ambush.
DHS confirmed what actually happened.
Garces Perez illegally entered the country under the Biden administration.
He had a final order of removal.
He was the target of an enforcement operation, not a random DoorDash driver caught in the crossfire.
None of that made it into Lincoln-Goldfinch's press conferences.
None of it came up when Democratic Congressman Greg Casar showed up at her office to denounce ICE on camera.
Casar and Lincoln-Goldfinch Are Running the Same Script
Heritage Foundation analysts have documented this pattern.
The Federalist has reported on it.
The Senate Judiciary Committee heard testimony about it.
Every time ICE conducts a significant enforcement action, the same infrastructure activates – lawyers, rapid-response networks, activist groups, and sympathetic lawmakers, all coordinated to flood the zone with a counter-narrative before federal officials can establish the record.
Lincoln-Goldfinch did not stumble into this case.
She is the infrastructure.
The left needs people to believe ICE is lawless.
They need the public to see every illegal alien as an innocent victim and every federal agent as a threat.
And they need someone credentialed – a lawyer, not a protester – to deliver that message in front of news cameras.
What they don't need is for that same lawyer to get caught joking about it.
Because when that happens, the mask comes off.
Lincoln-Goldfinch tried to walk it back.
She wrote a LinkedIn post framing Kirk's assassination as proof that nobody is truly safe, using his murder as a platform for gun control messaging.
That is not grief.
That is a worldview.
The same people who position themselves as defenders of human dignity and the rule of law are the ones mocking political assassinations when they think nobody is watching.
The same movement that demands accountability from ICE agents has none for itself.
ICE is going to keep doing its job.
DHS said no amount of criticism would stop the agency from continuing to arrest illegal aliens in communities across the country.
Good.
Because the people manufacturing those smears just told you exactly who they are.
