NASCAR drivers know they are putting their very lives on the line every time they climb in their cars and strap in.

And they’ve even seen shocking family deaths just going to and from the racetrack.

But now this legendary NASCAR driver just got devastating news about an apparent murder-suicide in his family.

The NASCAR family has been rocked again by a devastating incident involving racing superstar Jimmie Johnson.

A tragic set of circumstances

The seven-time NASCAR Cup champion’s in-laws were found dead in what Oklahoma police suspect is a tragic murder-suicide.

But the heart-wrenching story gets even worse, and the NASCAR community and fans are in utter disbelief.

According to the Muskogee, Oklahoma police, Jack and Terry Janway, the parents of Johnson’s wife Chandra, were found dead at the scene.

And sadly, as if that wasn’t tragic enough, their 11-year-old grandson, and Jimmie Johnson’s nephew, Dalton Janway, were also killed.

The motives in this bizarre and sad set of circumstances are still unknown.

But what is known is who pulled the trigger that killed all three.

Authorities are investigating the incident, but Terry, 68, is considered the main suspect.

The motive behind this horrifying deadly act remains unknown, which adds an extra layer of mystery to the already confusing and shocking story.

Law enforcement officials say they arrived at the scene to find a body in the hallway.

They then heard another gunshot coming from inside the house.

Their search then uncovered two more lifeless bodies.

To say the family was in utter shock is an understatement.

While most news outlets are focusing on Jimmie Johnson and his wife, the fact is that Jack Janway was a celebrity of sorts in his own right.

Tributes have been pouring in for Jack Janway, who was a highly respected figure in the Muskogee community.

Jack, who was 69 at the time of his death, was the owner of Janway Chiropractic and Acupuncture in Muskogee, and his contributions to the community have been many and varied.

Muskogee Mayor Marlon Coleman expressed his anguish to Fox News, saying, “It was traumatizing to find out that a long-standing family who had made so many contributions to our community were involved in this type of incident. It was even more bone-chilling to find out there was a child involved.”

The NASCAR world and the Muskogee community is mourning the loss and struggling to comprehend this unthinkable act.

Johnson is scheduled to race in a Chicago street race over the 4th of July weekend.

This is the first-ever NASCAR race on the streets of Chicago, and many wonder if Johnson’s ability to remain focused during this most anguishing time will remain intact leading up to the race.

If he does race, many will consider it a testament to his strong character and dedication to a sport he helped make a worldwide phenomenon.
