The United States Marine Corps turned 250 years old on November 10, 2025, marking a quarter millennium of American military dominance.¹

Celebrations erupted across the country honoring the organization that has destroyed America's enemies since the Continental Marines formed on November 10, 1775.²

The Marines Barracks in Washington, D.C. hosted a special birthday party featuring country singer Ernest over the weekend.³

In an incredible moment that went viral, Ernest brought up First Lieutenant Jackson Perkins to sing Hank Williams Jr.'s "Family Tradition."⁴

Perkins delivered a performance that had every Marine in that room on their feet.

Before becoming a Marine officer, Perkins suited up for the Naval Academy football team as a defensive end.⁶

He earned team captain honors in 2020 and took home the Roger Staubach Award for leadership.⁷

After graduation, Perkins became an Infantry Officer and spent two years as a Weapons Platoon commander.⁸
