Meghan Markle made one wrong move that raised serious doubts about her future

Meghan Markle is desperate to rehabilitate her public image.

But she’s having a harder time than she ever imagined.

And Meghan Markle made one wrong move that raised serious doubts about her future.

Meghan Markle may never win back public support

Former D-list actress Meghan Markle has watched her popularity collapse with the public after she started dating her now husband Prince Harry in 2016.

She’s hoping to revamp her image and launch a new career as a homemaker and lifestyle influencer in the mold of Martha Stewart.

Meghan has a Netflix show launching soon called With Love, Meghan which features her cooking and gardening with a rotating cast of her celebrity friends.

She’s also launching a lifestyle brand featuring jams and pricey dog biscuits but it has been delayed over multiple trademark issues with its name.

The “Markle Sparkle” that she had at the start of her relationship with Harry has been replaced by loathing from most of the public.

Royal watcher Kinsey Schofield said that an “avalanche of missteps is undeniable” by Meghan on a recent episode of her To Di For Daily podcast.

She pointed to Harry and Meghan’s 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey where they attacked the British royal family as the point of no return.

The royal couple moved to California in 2020 after they quit their roles as senior members of the royal family.

“America was supposed to be a fresh start for the Sussexs,” Schofield stated. “[But] they set the tone for how their audience perceives them.”

Their bad vibes spilled over into how the public perceives them.

“Harry and Meghan spent the first three years of their new life in America bitter, angry and complaining,” Schofield explained. “Keeping things positive is generally the best approach. This builds trust and likability.”

The public doesn’t like whiners, according to Schofield.

“People are more likely to connect with people who inspire, uplift or offer solutions rather than complain,” Schofield stated. “Positivity creates a strong emotional connection and taps into aspirational emotions, making your brand more memorable. Plus, a positive tone helps you present your values, mission, and unique value proposition without the noise of negativity.”

Meghan Markle keeps stepping in it

Meghan needs to disappear for a while to rehabilitate her image but just can’t stay out of the spotlight.

She and Harry spent years airing every grievance they had with the world in interviews.

“If Harry and Meghan had focused on solving problems rather than merely pointing them out… public reaction would have been more receptive,” Schofield argued. “Restoring credibility requires more transparency, proof, and time. Meghan never disappears long enough for the audience to forgive and forget.”

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News the original sin for Harry and Meghan was attacking the royal family in public.

“The beginning of the end for the Sussex couple was when they alone decided to erode their value by denigrating the royal family,” Fordwich said. “Airing dirty laundry isn’t a trait valued by many at all; it’s universally despised.”

Achilles PR branding expert Doug Eldridge said that Meghan went from popular when she married Harry to polarizing.

“Studios and brands consider the relatability and popularity of stars when determining whether, or how much, to invest in their projects,” Eldridge explained. “Unfortunately, Meghan is capable of producing compelling content, but most investors can’t make it past the proverbial ‘wrapping paper’ to see the ‘gift’ that’s inside the box.”

Meghan Markle may have dug herself a hole so deep that she can’t climb out.
