The Madison Premiere Date Set For March 14 On Paramount+

Yellowstone wrapped up in December 2024 after Kevin Costner's ugly exit from the show.

The star clashed with Sheridan over creative direction and walked away to chase his Horizon passion project.

Costner's departure forced Sheridan to kill off John Dutton and wrap the flagship series after five seasons instead of the eight he originally planned.

But the Yellowstone universe kept expanding without missing a beat.

Paramount+ just dropped the premiere date for The Madison, the next Montana-set drama starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell.

The streaming service announced the six-episode first season premieres Saturday, March 14.

The Madison follows the Clyburn family relocating from New York City to Montana's Madison River valley after tragedy strikes.

Pfeiffer plays wealthy matriarch Stacy Clyburn leading her family through grief and transformation.

Russell joins as Preston Clyburn with Matthew Fox rounding out the lead cast as Paul Clyburn.

Taylor Sheridan Filmed Two Madison Seasons Before Premiere Date

Paramount+ released the first official photos from the series showing Pfeiffer, Russell, and the ensemble cast in Montana's stunning landscapes.

The network calls it Sheridan's "most intimate work to date" and "a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama."

But what makes The Madison different from typical TV productions is Sheridan's approach.

The creator already wrapped filming both Season 1 and Season 2 before the first episode even aired.

That's the kind of power Sheridan has after building the Yellowstone franchise into a ratings juggernaut.

Filming began in August 2024 in Montana with additional scenes shot in Dallas and Fort Worth standing in for New York City.

Kurt Russell wasn't even officially confirmed as cast until September 2025 despite filming wrapping months earlier.

The series reportedly already has an early renewal locked in for that second season Sheridan already filmed.

Paramount+ is betting big that Sheridan's track record of success will continue.

Yellowstone Spinoffs Coming 2026: The Madison, Marshals, And Dutton Ranch

The Madison joins three other Yellowstone spinoffs coming in 2026.

Luke Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton in Marshals, which premieres March 1 on CBS.

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser return as Beth and Rip in Dutton Ranch, coming later to Paramount+.

Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren's prequel 1923 just crushed it in Season 2.

The premiere pulled 146% more eyeballs than the first season opener.

The franchise proves it doesn't need Kevin Costner to dominate ratings.

Sheridan's recent deal with NBCUniversal reportedly topped $1 billion, cementing his status as television's most powerful creator.

The Madison cast also includes Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, Ben Schnetzer, and 1923 actress Danielle Vasinova.

Vasinova plays an indigenous character after appearing in two episodes of 1923 Season 2 in a different role.

The series keeps many details under wraps, but director Christina Alexandra Voros promised it takes a completely different approach to Montana storytelling.

Paramount+ hasn't released a trailer yet, but first-look photos show the production values matching the flagship series.

Sheridan knows how to deliver sweeping Western landscapes mixed with family drama that keeps millions of viewers hooked.

The Madison premieres March 14 on Paramount+, giving Yellowstone fans their next fix of Montana ranch drama.
