Patricia Heaton made one confession about Harrison Butker that Hollywood will hate

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker found himself in the middle of the woke outrage mob’s latest manufactured controversy.

Celebrities were furious at the message he gave at a college commencement.

But Patricia Heaton made one confession about Harrison Butker that Hollywood will hate.

Harrison Butker comes under fire for promoting motherhood

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is a devout Catholic who doesn’t hide his faith.

That’s put him in the crosshairs of the woke outrage mob.

Butker delivered the commencement address at Benedictine College, a small Catholic liberal arts college in Kansas.

The Chiefs star noted that for the woman graduating becoming a mother would be more important than any accomplishment in their careers.

“I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you,” Butker said. “How many of you are sitting here now, about to cross this stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”

The media began to misrepresent his message as some sort of misogynistic rant.

But Butker’s message simply celebrated motherhood as a higher calling than a career.

And for that he was falsely accused of telling the female graduates to stay in the kitchen when he said nothing of the sort.

But the pile-on was underway.

A Kansas City Star columnist suggested that the Chiefs replace him with a female kicker and a petition gathered over 100,000 that called on the team to cut him.

Patricia Heaton comes to the defense of Harrison Butker

Former Everybody Loves Raymond star, Patricia Heaton, weighed in on the Butker controversy on social media.

The actress, a mother of four, gave her thoughts on the commencement speech as a “Catholic woman.”

“I don’t understand why everybody’s knickers are in a twist,” Heaton said. “He gave a commencement speech. The audience applauded twice during the speech and gave him a standing ovation at the end, so clearly they enjoyed what he was saying.”

Butker’s speech was well received by the audience it was intended for at the commencement.

“The guy is espousing his own opinions and Catholic doctrine, um, so what?” Heaton asked. “It’s his opinion. He can have one. He’s allowed. He’s not a monster for stating what he believes.”

Butker reserved his harshest criticism for the bishops in the Catholic Church but that was overlooked by most secular commentators.

“He went after bishops much more than he went after women, or what women’s choices are or what he thinks they should be, so I don’t understand,” Heaton added.

Heaton pointed out that she was able to work and raise a family.

“I am a Catholic woman who worked through my kids’ childhood, and I believe that God opened those doors for me,” Heaton said. “And thankfully, it was a schedule that allowed me to also be a full-time mom basically.”

“I find nothing offensive about what he said, even though my life is very different, and he might even look at my life and say that’s not the way it should be. That’s OK. That’s his opinion,” Heaton added.

The woke outrage mob is fuming that an NFL athlete would use their platform to deliver a message that doesn’t conform with the Left’s.
