In 2009, Rick Harrison and his family took the nation by storm with their reality show, Pawn Stars.
Americans got to know their family and the family business, and many were saddened when they heard this news.
But now Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison is expressing his fury at the Biden administration after his son’s cause of death was revealed.
Rick Harrison, star of the wildly popular reality show Pawn Stars, recently broke his silence about the sudden death of his son.
A sad and sudden loss due to Biden’s border crisis
Adam Harrison, the son of the creator of the Pawn Stars – died unexpectedly at the age of 39.
Laura Herlovich – the public relations representative for the reality television star – confirmed the death of Adam Harrison with the Las Vegas Review-Journal and also confirmed Harrison’s son died from an overdose.
Herlovich issued a statement on behalf of the Harrison family, “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”
And a heartbroken Harrison shared a photo of him and his son on Instagram with the caption: “You will always be in my heart. I love you, Adam.”
Adam Harrison was known by the family as “Wax” but was not on the Pawn Stars TV show like his older brother Corey Harrison.
Corey Harrison, the 40-year-old son of the Pawn Stars celebrity, also took to Instagram and posted a throwback photo of the young brothers in the bathtub with the caption: “Wax wtf I will always love you, Bubba.”
Harrison has revealed that Adam died from a fentanyl overdose.
“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Harrison, 58, told The New York Post in a statement after Adam’s cause of death was first reported by TMZ.
“The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” he added. “It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
The show must go on
Even as they grieve the sudden loss, the Harrison family and their cast of characters seems intent on continuing the wildly successful show.
And almost certainly, Americans will continue to tune in to see the exploits of Harrison and his family.
Rick Harrison had two sons, Corey and Adam, with his first wife, Kim.
Harrison, who has the nickname “Big Hoss,” also has a son named Jake with his second wife, Tracy.
He also has three daughters: Sarina, Ciana, and Marissa.
Rick Harrison and his son Corey have starred in Pawn Stars since its first airing in 2009.
The History Channel’s hit series is based on the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas that was opened back in 1988 by Harrison and his father, Richard.
Richard Harrison, who was known as “The Old Man,” passed away in 2018.
The Vegas-based pawn shop reality show also features Rick’s son Corey Harrison and his childhood friend, Austin Lee Russell, who is better known to millions of fans as “Chumlee.”
There have been more than 600 Pawn Stars episodes aired since it debuted on July 19, 2009.
And the 22nd season of the hit TV show it premiered on March 15, 2023.
The show has such a loyal fan base due to both the humor, history, and wildly interesting artifacts that come into the shop.
And it also doesn’t hurt that, unlike far too many reality show stars, the Pawn Star cast are strong conservatives.
