Reba McEntire comes clean about this spat with Taylor Swift

Mar 22, 2024

Social media was all abuzz about one of Country music’s top stars getting into a fight with pop music’s top performer.

The rumor mill that constantly surrounds Taylor Swift churned out a story about Reba McEntire supposedly making a rude comment about the singer.

While fans pick the sides of their favorite artist Reba McEntire decides to come clean about the whole affair.

“Taylor Swift is an entitled brat”

Reba McEntire is setting the record straight and squashing rumors that she called Taylor Swift an “entitled brat” after the 2024 Super Bowl.

In an Instagram clap back heard ’round the world, the country icon shut down the gossip mill with one swift move.

“Please don’t believe everything you see on the Internet,” McEntire, 68, declared on social media, addressing the unfounded allegations head-on.

“I did not say this. Taylor is a wonderful artist, strong role model and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry.”

The drama started swirling after a Facebook group, America Loves Liberty, stirred the pot with claims that McEntire was less than impressed with Swift’s behavior during her performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl.

According to the Post, McEntire allegedly expressed disappointment at Swift’s supposed antics, stating, “I let her have it afterward. She’s an entitled little brat.”

However, photographic evidence tells a different story.

Swift was seen standing respectfully alongside her friend Blake Lively, hand over her heart, during McEntire’s rendition of the national anthem.

Far from making a mockery of the event, Swift was there to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce, who emerged victorious in the game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fans were quick to rally behind McEntire, calling out the bogus claims and showing unwavering support for the country legend.

“It’s so funny how many people just blindly believe a meme,” remarked one Facebook user.

Another chimed in, highlighting the inaccuracies in the post, stating, “They spelled your name McIntire. So made up story AND a lazy proofreader.”

Even McEntire herself couldn’t resist poking fun at the ridiculousness of the rumors.

In a previous interview, she joked about being jealous of Swift’s relationship with Kelce, quipping, “Oh, my gosh, I am so mad at her because I had a crush on him.”

As for the Facebook group behind the fake news frenzy, they quickly backpedaled, admitting that the post was satire.

“Thank you, Ma’am. We love your work. The article is as silly as the headline for a reason,” they sheepishly confessed in response to McEntire’s rebuttal.

In the end, McEntire’s message is clear: don’t believe everything you read online.

As she continues to reign as a beloved figure in the country music world, McEntire remains focused on spreading positivity and setting the record straight, one Instagram post at a time.
