Taco Bell is getting ready to burn up summer with this spicy new release

Jul 9, 2024

Taco Bell is releasing some menu items and bringing back some old favorites for its summer menu.

Now the beloved fast-food chain is giving fans what they’ve been asking for.

And Taco Bell is getting ready to burn up summer with this spicy new release.

Nacho Fries are a smash hit for Taco Bell

Nacho Fries have become one of the most popular items released by Taco Bell.

The fast food chain’s unique twist on traditional fries – Mexican seasoning with nacho cheese dipping sauce – had the biggest launch of any menu item in Taco Bell history in 2018.

Nacho Fries topped the legendary Doritos Locos Tacos for that honor.

Taco Bell sold more than 50 million orders of Nacho Fries in the first weeks after its release.

“We’re seeing fries in one out of every three orders, compared to one out of every four for DLT (Doritos Locos Taco),” Taco Bell spokesman Matt Prince told Nation’s Restaurant News in 2018.

Nacho Fries have only been released for a limited time much to the disappointment of Taco Bell’s loyal fans.

This year the Mexican-inspired fast food chain has been creative with Nacho Fries.

Taco Bell Releases New Jalapeño Ranch Nacho Fries

Taco Bell announced that it was releasing Jalapeño Ranch Nacho Fries and introducing Nacho Fries Lover’s Pass.

The creamy and zesty jalapeño ranch sauce is made of buttermilk, sour cream, garlic, red jalapeño, pasilla peppers, parsley, and spices.

And the fries come topped with nacho cheese sauce, pico de gallo, and a choice of either seasoned taco beef or black beans.

The Jalapeno Ranch Nacho Fries comes on the heels of the limited edition run of Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries.

Taco Bell partnered with Portland, Oregon-based hot sauce company Secret Aardvark to create the spicy upgrade to Nacho Fries.

Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries featured slow-roasted chicken, nacho cheese sauce, a three cheese blend, reduced fat sour cream, pico de gallo, and Secret Aardvark’s zesty Serrabanero Ranch Sauce.

The Serrabanero Ranch Sauce was made from green tomatoes, roasted tomatillos serrano, and green habanero peppers with a splash of ranch.

And to make things better for Nacho Fries loves, Taco Bell is offering its own subscription pass for them.

The Nacho Fries Lover’s Pass allows Taco Bell rewards members to pay $10 in the Taco Bell app to get one order of Nacho Fries for 30 consecutive days.

If they get Nacho Fries for all 30 days, they’ll only cost $0.33 an order.

Taco Bell Chief Digital Officer Dane Mathews said that Nacho Fries Lover’s Pass was about providing more value for customers.

“The inaugural Nacho Fries Lover’s Pass subscribers’ unwavering adoration for more Nacho Fries and more value meant it was time for the Nacho Fries Lover’s Pass to make its much-anticipated comeback,” Mathews said. “Our Rewards Members drive us to push the boundaries of customer experience with digital innovations that effortlessly allow fans to enjoy more of the Taco Bell favorites they crave, all for an accessible price.”

Nacho Fries lovers can hope that this is one step closer to them becoming a permanent menu item.
