The View attacked Tom Brady for one reason that no one saw coming

May 9, 2024

The harpies on The View direct most of their fire at conservatives and Republican politicians.

A new feud broke out with one of the biggest celebrities in the country.

And The View attacked Tom Brady for one reason that no one saw coming.

The View co-host rips Tom Brady over his Netflix roast

Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady had a much talked about live and uncensored Netflix comedy special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion was roasted by comedians, his former teammates, and celebrities.

One of the frequent themes of the jokes cracked on Brady was his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen.

Brady and Bündchen divorced in 2022 after 13 years of marriage.

The former NFL great’s roast became a topic of conversation on ABC’s The View.

Co-host Whoopi Golberg asked the rest of the hosts if they would tolerate a roast that made cracks on their families.

Bündchen being a part of the roast didn’t sit well with co-host Ana Navarro.

“If I were getting paid what he was probably getting paid — he was an executive producer — I’d laugh at all sorts of things,” Navarro said. “But, I think the person who wasn’t getting paid and ended up being part of this roast was Gisele, and I think that’s a bad, lame thing to do to your ex-wife and mother to your children.”

Navarro mentioned a recent video of Bündchen where she was crying after she was pulled over by the police fleeing from paparazzi.

“She wants to live her life,” Navarro continued. “Leave Gisele the hell alone. Go make your money elsewhere. Really? I thought that was really tacky.”

The View co-host upset with the treatment of Kim Kardashian at the Tom Brady roast

Polarizing reality television star Kim Kardashian was one of the roasters at the Brady event.

She received a chorus of boos when she got up to the podium.

Comedian Kevin Hart, the roast’s host, could be heard saying, “whoa, whoa,” off camera.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin wasn’t happy that the audience booed Kardashian.

“This was before she said anything. Just when she went up,” Griffin said. “I was like, ‘Is it a crowd of Swifties? What is going on?’ It’s a little verging on mean-spirited.”

Griffin gave Brady a pass for the jokes about his ex-wife saying that he might have known they were coming.

“I don’t know that Tom Brady would’ve known there were Gisele jokes because I think they were made at his expense,” Griffin remarked. “But I see the point that she was the butt of a lot of jokes.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin completely missed the point of what a roast is and said that the jokes shouldn’t be made at the expense of others.

“I love comedy and I like to laugh, but not at people’s expense. That makes me uncomfortable,” Hostin said. “If you agreed to executive-produce your own roast and you’re making money from it and you agree to it, that’s one thing, but it is another thing [to bring Gisele into it].”

Navarro concluded by saying that Brady should give half of the money he made from Netflix to Bündchen.

And she said that Brady should have said something to comedian Jeff Ross to stop the Bündchen jokes.

The hosts on The View were up in arms over the idea of a celebrity roast.
