Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and pop mega Taylor Swift went public as a couple last September when she began showing up to his games.
The couple has been on a whirlwind romance that saw her following Kelce on his team’s journey to their second straight Super Bowl win.
Now he’s following her Era Tours on its European leg during the NFL’s offseason.
Rumors have swirled about a potential engagement and wedding plans.
But it appears that Kelce isn’t ready to get married yet.
Multiple sources told US Weekly that the Chiefs star wants to take things slow.
“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” a source close to the couple told US Weekly. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”
The source added that when it comes to putting a ring on the pop star’s finger, “he’s just not there yet.”
Neither Kelce nor Swift have been married before.
Another source told the outlet not to expect any big news this summer.
“Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer,” the source said. “Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.”
The source added their families want a proposal to happen but aren’t expecting one any time soon.
Big summer on tap for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
Kelce signed a two-year $34.25 million contract extension with the Chiefs this offseason that made him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.
The 34-year-old has spent this offseason preparing for life after football.
He’s hosting the game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on Amazon Prime Video, which is a reboot of the old Jeff Foxworthy show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?.
Kelce also got his first acting role in American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy’s new FX series Grotesquerie, which premiers this fall.
And he’s juggling attending Swift’s Eras Tour, which is crisscrossing Europe until the end of August.
Kelce has attended five of her concerts in Europe and plans to go to as many as he can.
“He wants to support her as much as he can while he can, so he’s going to [go] back and forth from the US to Europe while he has the time,” a source told US Weekly.
“For now, [Travis] can arrange his schedule to be with [Taylor]” before the NFL season kicks off, the source added.
