Travis Kelce took Taylor Swift by surprise with this plan for his future

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is coming to a fork in the road.

Now he’s making one of the biggest decisions of his life.

And Travis Kelce took Taylor Swift by surprise with this plan for his future.

Travis Kelce reveals what job he wants after retirement

Kansas City Chiefs star tight Travis Kelce ended last season with a team-high 9 catches in a thrilling 25-22 overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.

The 34-year-old is still performing at a high level, but he’s reached the age where the end of his professional football career is in sight.

Kelce has a lot of off-the-field opportunities after football that have only expanded after his fame went to the next level by dating pop megastar Taylor Swift.

He discussed what he wanted to do after football on his podcast New Heights with his brother, recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Jason talked about potentially trying to become a minority owner of the Eagles now that he’s retired.

He mentioned that actor Rob McElhenney – the star of the FX sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – “might have already put in an offer” for the Eagles.

McElhenney and actor Ryan Reynolds bought the low-level Welsh soccer team Wrexham A.F.C. and turned that experience into a reality show.

“Rob, can we get in on this?” Jason joked.

“Stop trying to tag me in,” Travis replied. “This is you.”

Jason couldn’t believe what his brother was saying.

“You’re gonna tell me you’re gonna turn it down?” Jason asked. “You get an opportunity to be an owner of an NFL team and you’re gonna say ‘no’?”

Travis revealed what he wanted to when he hangs up his cleats.

“I want to broadcast when I’m done playing,” Travis said.

Jason Kelce joined ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown as an analyst for next season.

“You want to broadcast?” a shocked Jason asked. “You’re saying that right now. You want to broadcast.”

“Yes,” Travis responded. “I wanna f***ing do that. “I wanna be the talking head that calls the games.”

Broadcasting is a natural transition for many former NFL players after their playing days are over.

Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is beginning his first year as the lead analyst for Fox next NFL season.

And former Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks Troy Aikman and Tony Romo have found success in the broadcast booth.

Travis Kelce is using the offseason to try new things

Kelce has had a busy offseason that’s seen him get his first acting gig in the upcoming FX horror drama, Grotesquerie.

Amazon Prime Video selected him to be the host of the rebooted game show, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?

The Chiefs star said in a press conference in January that the NFL offseason was for trying new things.

“That’s the point of the offseason,” Kelce said. “Being able to get out there and really find what you love to do and I’ve been fortunate to do a few things outside of the sports world that I’ve been enjoying doing, like getting on camera.”

He said this offseason he wants to keep playing football for as long as he can.

But when he eventually retires, he’ll have plenty of opportunities in front of him.
