Trump Just Slammed the Door on 200,000 Foreigners Who Lied to Get In

Biden opened the door and told the world the lock was broken.

Now Trump and Marco Rubio just found 200,000 people who walked through it.

Here's what they did – and why the people screaming loudest right now are the ones who built this scam.

Biden Turned Asylum Into a Guaranteed Work Permit

The con was simple.

Buy a tourist visa.

Fly to America.

File for asylum.

The moment that paperwork hit the government's desk, the clock started running – and under Biden, that clock was almost entirely in the applicant's favor.

Biden's DHS processed asylum-based work authorization in about 15 days by fiscal year 2024.

Fifteen days.

Under the three previous fiscal years, that same process took over three months.

Biden didn't just open the border – he turbocharged the incentive to lie on your visa application.

The numbers prove it: Indian nationals filed 41,030 asylum applications in fiscal year 2023 alone, up from just 4,330 in fiscal year 2021.

That's nearly a ten-fold increase in two years from a single country.

These weren't families fleeing war.

India is the world's largest democracy and one of the fastest-growing economies on earth.

The spike happened because word got out: America's asylum system was a loophole with a work permit attached.

What These 200,000 People Actually Did

Here's what every single one of these visa holders did.

They applied for a B1 or B2 visa – business travel, tourism, family visits.

They signed paperwork affirming they planned to return home.

They entered the country on that promise.

Then they filed for asylum.

State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said it plainly: "Obtaining a visa in order to seek asylum is fraud." That's grounds for revocation, he added.

Not a policy disagreement.

Not a legal gray area.

Fraud.

Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau put a face on it with a Colombian citizen who arrived in 2015 on a tourist visa, then filed for asylum before his stay expired.

That man spent years in America on a visa he obtained under false pretenses.

Landau called it a textbook case of a system with no real deterrent left.

The State Department has already revoked roughly 175,000 visas over the past 18 months – for people convicted or accused of crimes ranging from drunk driving to robbery, and for people who spoke out publicly against U.S. policy.

Two hundred thousand more are next.

Rubio Just Set a Precedent Lawyers Can't Easily Undo

The left is calling this "performative."

That's the tell.

When Trump does something they can't legally stop, they call it a stunt.

What this action does – right now, today – is establish a precedent that hasn't existed in American immigration law at this scale.

Visas are permission to visit. They were never a backdoor to permanent residency.

Manufacturing a permanent stay off a tourist visa is fraud, and now it comes with consequences.

The asylum backlog the Biden administration created didn't just cost taxpayer money – it handed every bad actor in the world a roadmap.

File the paperwork, then disappear into a backlogged system for years while the odds run in your favor.

That roadmap just got shredded.

And before the lawyers finish filing their injunctions, Trump's State Department will have processed rolling revocations that cannot be easily undone.

Rubio and Landau didn't announce a policy review.

They announced a reckoning.
