James Comey got indicted this year for posting seashells arranged to spell out a death threat against Trump.
Now that same warped anger just showed up on America's most sacred war memorial.
Vandals hit the WWII Memorial again Thursday, and this time they brought soap.
Soap Bubbles and Red Paint Hit a Monument to 400,000 Dead Americans
Someone dumped bubble soap straight into the fountain at the World War II Memorial in Washington, DC, on Thursday.
Frothy suds piled several feet high over the section honoring the Atlantic Theater, where American boys died beating back the Nazis.
Red spray paint on the stone read "Clean Hands Dirty $."
Nobody bothered explaining what a memorial to the Greatest Generation has to do with dirty money.
That's because it doesn't.
This is vandalism looking for a cause, not a cause looking for a memorial.
US Park Police descended on the scene within hours.
Interior Department spokesman Cody Sargent blasted whoever did it as unhinged.
"It's pathetic to deface a memorial to our WWII heroes," Sargent wrote on X.
Two kids were photographed playing in the bubbles like it was a bath toy commercial, not a crime scene at a war memorial.
That image alone should make every parent in America furious.
This Is At Least the Fourth Attack on the National Mall Since June
Thursday's soap stunt didn't happen in a vacuum.
It's at least the fourth act of vandalism to hit the National Mall since June.
Someone carved a giant "86 47" into the grass near the WWII Memorial on June 11, right before Trump's UFC Freedom 250 event.
That phrase isn't ambiguous.
"86" means eighty-six, kill it, remove it.
"47" means the 47th president.
Comey's own case over that exact code goes to trial October 21.
A week after the grass markings, someone took a blade to the newly restored Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool the same day it reopened, slicing the liner and yanking up the fencing.
Days after that, a vandal used their own blood to scrawl a message on the Washington Monument.
Interior Department communications director Katie Martin confirmed the pattern is escalating, not slowing down.
"This summer has seen a significant increase in vandalism to the National Mall," Martin told Fox News.
Five arrests came out of the Reflecting Pool attacks alone, and the vandalism kept happening anyway.
This isn't lone-wolf weirdness anymore.
It's a campaign, and it's aimed at the man sitting in the Oval Office.
Deranged Vandalism on National Monuments Has a History
This isn't even the first time the WWII Memorial has taken a hit during a season of left-wing anger.
Rioters spray-painted the same memorial during the George Floyd unrest in May 2020, along with the Lincoln Memorial down the block.
The National Park Service dealt with something similar back in 2017, when a single vandal hit five spots across four Mall monuments in one night, including the WWII Memorial.
Crews needed paint stripper and pressurized water to get the stone clean.
Something makes the left angry, and America's monuments to dead soldiers keep paying the price.
Nobody vandalizes a monument to explain a policy position.
They do it because they want attention, and they know cameras show up fast when a war memorial gets hit.
A Judge Already Told the Vandals Their Excuse Would Work
Here's the part that should really make your blood boil.
US District Judge Randolph Moss issued a preliminary ruling on June 1 that flying an "8647" flag outside a DC courthouse was protected free speech, not a threat.
Ten days later, the same numbers turned up carved into the National Mall grass.
Weeks after that, someone was writing messages in blood on the Washington Monument.
You don't have to be a legal scholar to connect those dots.
When a judge tells agitators their slogan is just speech, some of them hear permission, not a warning.
Trump has spent this year trying to restore the National Mall ahead of America's 250th birthday, repainting the Reflecting Pool and cleaning up decades of neglect.
Every single time his administration fixes something, vandals show up within days to wreck it again.
That's not a coincidence.
It's a pattern built to punish the president for making Washington look like America again.
Cody Sargent said the National Park Service will get Thursday's mess cleaned up.
But cleanup crews can't scrub away a legal system that keeps treating "kill the president" code as a punchline instead of a crime.
Comey's trial in October will be the real test of whether that changes.
Until then, expect more soap, more blood, and more excuses from the people who keep calling it protest.
