Vivek Ramaswamy was just seen at Mar-a-Lago, and the speculation is starting

Feb 20, 2024

Officially, Trump is not yet the GOP nominee; no one believes the outcome is in doubt.

All but one of Trump’s opponents have thrown in the towel and given their support to Trump, so now people are speculating about who Trump will make his nominee for Vice President.

So when Vivek Ramaswamy was just seen at Mar-a-Lago, there was new speculation about where Trump is leaning.

He didn’t win the nomination, but his candidacy has had outsized influence.

American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has described himself as an “unapologetic American nationalist” – much to the dismay of corporate media pundits.

When Donald Trump was indicted on what supporters contend to be politically motivated charges, Ramaswamy was one of the first to rally behind him.

Showing he’s not afraid to ruffle feathers, Ramaswamy was one of the most prominent voices to suggest that Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel step down over election night disappointments over the past several cycles.

The businessman generated a buzz on the campaign trail and in largely hostile corporate media interviews where he often got the better of the exchanges.

But that didn’t translate into votes, partly because many of Ramaswamy’s stances aligned closely with those of former President Donald Trump.

Ramaswamy said on the night of the Iowa caucuses, “I will stick to the truth tonight. The first hard truth, and this was hard for me, I gotta admit this, but we’ve looked at it every which way. And I think it is true that we did not achieve the surprise that we wanted to deliver tonight. Earlier tonight, I called Donald Trump to tell him that I congratulate him on his victory. And now, going forward, he will have my full endorsement for the presidency.”

With that, the once political foe has become a campaign surrogate ever since.

Now, with Trump poised to defeat Governor Nikki Haley in her home state of South Carolina in less than two weeks, speculation is mounting on his choice of a running mate.

Against that backdrop, Ramaswamy was in attendance at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday, along with his wife Apoorva and former First Lady Melania Trump.

Vivek for Vice President?

The enthusiasm was palpable.

Laura Loomer wrote on X, “At the ‘Golden Evening for a Golden President’ event at Mar a Lago tonight, @VivekGRamaswamy was introduced by President Trump when Trump realized he was at the event. They go well together. Electric energy when Trump and Vivek are together. I’m a big fan of this duo.”

A user called Sassafrass84 said, “I wonder if Vivek will be vice president? I have never been so impatient in my life to know who the VP pick is. Waiting sucks.”

Ramaswamy has support from influential people in Republican circles.

Tucker Carlson supports Vivek

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson expressed his support for Vivek Ramaswamy last year as a potential Vice-Presidential candidate for former President Donald Trump.

Carlson said, “I kind of like Vivek. I feel like Vivek’s positions have gotten much more sincere since this began. He’s not attacking her because she’s a woman; he’s attacking her because he actually thinks her views are terrible for the country he lives in. And I love that.”

In addition to Ramaswamy, other frequently mentioned potential running mates for Trump’s 2024 campaign include Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Gov. Krist Noem (R-SD) and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY).
