Vivek Ramaswamy’s truth bombs during the GOP debate should make the GOP and liberal media hide in shame

Nov 13, 2023

While polls show that Trump is going to run away with the GOP nomination, the debate amongst the other candidates lost some of its luster.

But occasionally, someone has the courage to break from the established script.

That is until this week’s debate when Vivek Ramaswamy broke the internet when he challenged the liberal media and a top GOP official in a true mic-drop fashion.

Republicans face-off for voters

The first in the nation, the 2024 Iowa Republican presidential caucuses are only about two months away.

With that in mind — and just about one year prior to the 2024 general election – the top contenders for the GOP nomination once again took the stage for a debate this week.

This marked the third Republican debate, and once again, the leading candidate in the primary, former President Donald Trump, decided to skip the occasion.

The other candidates who qualified for the dais included Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, former New Jersey Gov.

Chris Christie, and tech and financial entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

The Miami debate happened right on the heels of Republicans losing all over the country in the 2023 off-year elections.

And it was Ramaswamy who said the quiet part out loud for all to hear.

Ramaswamy makes his move

Ramaswamy is currently standing in fourth place in the Real Clear Politics average of primary polling.

In fact, he’s only polling at about 4.5% in the RCP average.

With that in mind, he had little to lose and everything to gain in his third debate appearance.

And Ramaswamy held nothing back in one the establishment media has labeled a “tirade.”

As you can see in the above video, Ramaswamy took off the gloves and delivered knockout blows to the corporate-controlled press, the GOP debate format, establishment Republicans, and the leader of the Republican National Committee.

In a moment to remember, Ramaswamy even issued challenge viewers wished was accepted.

Ramaswamy’s mic-drop moment

Ramaswamy wasted no time dropping bombs, doing so in his opening statement.

“I think there’s something deeper going on in the Republican Party here, and I am upset about what happened last night,” Ramaswamy said in reference to Republicans’ embarrassing showing in the 2023 off-year elections.

“We’ve become a party of losers, at the end of the day, with the cancer of the Republican establishment. Let’s speak the truth. Since Ronna McDaniel took over as chairwoman of the RNC in 2017, we have lost 2018, 2020, and 2022, no red wave that never came. We got trounced last night in 2023. And I think that we have to have accountability in our party.”

At that point, Ramaswamy issued a challenge that stole the show.

“For that matter, Ronna, if you want to come on stage tonight, you want to look the voters in the eye and tell them you resign, I’ll turn over and yield my time to you,” Ramaswamy continued.

Of course, McDaniel didn’t take the stage – nor does she have any intention of turning over the power she’s obtained in the party, no matter how often she fails.

From there, Ramaswamy turned his attention to the current ineffective debate structure that is the product of teamwork between the establishment wing of the GOP and Big Media bosses.

“Think about who’s moderating this debate,” Ramaswamy added.

“This should be Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, and Elon Musk. We’d have ten times the viewership, asking questions that GOP primary voters actually care about. And we’ve got Kristen Welker here. Do you think the Democrats would actually hire Greg Gutfeld to host a Democratic debate? They wouldn’t do it.”

The crowd erupted at the dark-horse candidate, dropping truth bombs left and right.

But Ramaswamy was just getting warmed up.

In a debate hosted by NBC News, Ramaswamy closed by taking the left-wing media to task.

“Kris (Kristen Welker), I’m going to use this time because this is about you in the media and the corrupt media establishment,” Ramaswamy said.

“I ask you, the Trump-Russia collusion hoax that you pushed on this network for years, was that real or made-up Hillary Clinton disinformation? Answer the question. Go.”

Welker simply smiled in a rare moment of speechlessness.

“This is how we get our country back; we need accountability because this media rigged the 2016 election,” Ramaswamy concluded.

“They rigged the 2020 election with the Hunter Biden laptop story, and they’re going to rig this election unless we get accountability.”

The audience went wild for Ramaswamy’s opening statement – even as moderator Lester Holt scolded them and demanded they be quiet so he could have the time to ask more questions that Republican primary voters don’t care about.

Only time will tell if Ramaswamy will get a bump in the polls from his strong debate performance.
