The rumor mill is starting to churn about the hit show Yellowstone.
So many questions about its conclusion remained unanswered after the cast turmoil.
And Yellowstone’s Lainey Wilson made this surprising prediction about the show’s future.
Paramount Network’s Yellowstone is one of the most beloved shows on television.
But the conclusion of the series is shrouded in mystery.
Actor Kevin Costner who plays the main character John Dutton might not return for the second half of Season 5.
Nothing appears to be set in stone for the Western drama that’s scheduled to wrap its run this fall.
Yellowstone star offers her thoughts on the final episodes
Country music star Lainey Wilson – who made her acting debut as country music singer Abby on the show – was asked about Yellowstone before the 2024 CMT Awards in Austin, Texas by Cassie DiLaura with Entertainment Tonight.
DiLaura asked her if she thought she would return for the show’s final episodes.
Wilson said she’d be shocked if she wasn’t invited back.
“I’ll be honest with you,” Wilson said. “I’d be shocked. And I think how [Yellowstone creator] Taylor Sheridan writes his stories, and he just has a beautiful way of bringing things back and letting things go — I’ll be shocked. So, we’ll see what happens.”
Wilson doesn’t have any idea what’s happening with the beloved show just like the fanbase.
She joked that she would find out what’s happening with the show at the CMT Awards where Sheridan’s wife, Nicole Muirbrook, was in attendance.
“I’m gonna get the scoop tonight,” Wilson said in jest.
Wilson said at the beginning of April that she was in the dark about what was happening with Yellowstone when she was interviewed on the red carpet of the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
“I’m still waiting to find out what’s happening with Yellowstone,” Wilson stated. “I have absolutely no clue. I did talk to Kelly Reilly [who plays Beth Dutton] the other day, and you know, we’ll see what happens.”
“Once they give us the call,” Wilson added. “We’re there.”
The rumors about the show will continue to swirl with everyone in the dark about its conclusion.
Wilson didn’t find an answer for fans about the show during the CMT Awards but she did have a big night.
