A Yellowstone star gave fans this scary update about the show’s future

Fans can’t wait for Yellowstone to return to the air after nearly two years.

Now rumors are swirling about the show’s final season.

And a Yellowstone star gave fans this scary update about the show’s future.

Country music star Lainey Wilson talks Yellowstone on the red carpet

The second half of season five of Paramount Network hit, Yellowstone, is scheduled to air this November.

But there’s as much drama on set as there is on the show’s Dutton Ranch.

Country music star Lainey Wilson – who plays Abby on the show – was interviewed on the red carpet of the 2024 ACM Awards by Entertainment Tonight.

She was asked the burning question about what was going on with Yellowstone.

“I literally still do not know, but I’m waiting on the call,” Wilson said.

The show was scheduled to begin production on the rest of season five in May.

Wilson said that only Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan knows for sure what’s happening with the show.

“He’s got so many irons in the fire I don’t know how he does it,” Wilson added.

She previously said that she thought that her character was going to return for the series conclusion.

“I’ll be honest with you. I’d be shocked,” Wilson said in April. “And I think how Taylor Sheridan writes his stories, and he just has a beautiful way of bringing things back and letting things go – I’ll be shocked. So, we’ll see what happens.”

Production is supposed to be underway or getting ready to start and Wilson is still in the dark, at least publicly, about what’s going on with the beloved show.

Another Yellowstone actor says he’s back in Montana

Yellowstone star Forrie J. Smith – who plays ranch hand Lloyd Pierce – told his followers on social media that he was back in Montana to work on the show.

“Hey y’all, I’m back in Montana, finishing up Yellowstone,” Smith said. “I’m blessed with that.”

He told fans to join him at the East Helena Rodeo Fundraiser where he’ll serve as the guest of honor.

Smith was involved in the rodeo growing up in Montana before he pursued a career in show business.

The biggest question surrounding the conclusion of Yellowstone is what, if any, involvement series star Kevin Costner will have.

Costner and the show’s producers have been in a long-running dispute.

He gave Deadline his version of the events that caused his falling out with the producers.

“I don’t want to get down in the gutter with the Yellowstone thing but what I’m telling you is straight up,” Costner said. “I have taken a beating from those f***ing guys and I know a lot of times where it’s coming from. I just elected not to get into that.”

The show’s producer accused him of asking for too much time off to work on western epic Horizon: An American Saga.

“But if you know me well enough, I made Yellowstone the first priority, and to insinuate anything else would be wrong,” Costner continued. “I did not initiate any of those things. They did.”

He blamed a lack of script from the show’s producers for the problems.

Despite the conflict, Costner has said that he’s willing to return to wrap his character’s story arc.
