Now he could be ready to make his biggest splash yet in showbiz.

And Travis Kelce dropped a big hint about joining this highly anticipated Adam Sandler movie.

Travis Kelce hints he could be joining Happy Gilmore 2

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is still at the top of his game in the NFL.

But the 34-year-old is preparing for a life after football.

Kelce is dipping his toes in the entertainment industry by hosting the game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on Amazon Prime Video.

And he’s going to be making his acting debut in the upcoming FX horror drama Grotesquerie from American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy.

Rumors swirled that he could be joining the cast of the upcoming sequel to the comedy classic Happy Gilmore by comedian Adam Sandler.

Kelce – an avid golfer – was pictured wearing a hat with Happy Gilmore on it when he went to the Coachella music festival in California with his girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift.

On his podcast New Heights, he addressed the rumors about Happy Gilmore 2.

“I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2,” Kelce joked. “But if there is, I’ll be a f***ing extra. You know, anything to just get around Happy Gilmore or [an] Adam Sandler film or set — count me in.”

“I’ll do anything in the movie. I’ll be a part of it any way I possibly can,” Kelce added.

Kelce called the fan rumor “a conspiracy theory.”

But he dropped a hint that raised eyebrows.

“Theories can come true,” Kelce said. “Theories can be true and just people don’t know about it. So, I might even be in the talking and nobody knows about it, but I also could not be in the talking.”

Netflix confirmed that the long-awaited sequel to 1996’s Happy Gilmore was a go in May.

The original movie featured notable cameos from the late Price is Right host Bob Barker, golf legend Lee Trevino, broadcaster Verne Lundquist, and others.

Sandler told former ESPN SportsCenter anchor Dan Patrick – who’s set to have a cameo – that he would like to get PGA stars Tiger Woods and John Daly, and current Price is Right host Drew Carey parts in the film.

He wants to get some star power in Happy Gilmore 2, so it could be Kelce’s debut on the big screen.

Travis Kelce says he’s looking to get into the movie business

During the same podcast, Kelce put the word out there that he’s looking to act in movies.

“I’m looking for movie deals,” Kelce said.

His managers, André and Aaron Eanes, had been working on building his career in the entertainment industry before he started dating Swift.

They envision him following a path similar to former WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who transitioned from being a wrestler to a movie star.

“We positioned Travis to be world-famous,” André said. “We didn’t know how it would happen, or when it would happen, or what would help push that further along. But it’s always been the thought in the back of our minds.”

Travis Kelce could be set to conquer Hollywood after his ultra-successful career in the NFL.
