Brock Purdy was involved in the craziest story ever that involves John Deere, a coyote, and saving a reporter’s life

Walking in nature can be a wonderful thing.

Until it becomes dangerous.

And Brock Purdy was involved in the craziest story ever that involves John Deere, a coyote, and saving a reporter’s life.

Coyotes ain’t nothing to mess around with

Many of us were raised to always plan for the worst.

And the older we get, the more we realize that the worst possible outcome is generally always the outcome.

This is especially true when coyotes are involved.

Coyotes aren’t exactly the first thing you want to see in mother nature.

They are sporadic, territorial, often fearless, and move about in packs.

So, when you see one face-to-face, you need to prepare for the worst outcome and start thinking of a way to defend yourself, as well as a way out.

And this was a hard lesson that a news reporter in San Francisco was about to realize firsthand until Brock Purdy saved her life.

Purdy is a hero

Sara Donchey, an anchor for The Late News on KPIX-TV, did a whole segment about how the 49ers quarterback saved her and her dog’s life.

And at the end of the segment, she claimed that she really wasn’t in danger, but Brock Purdy set the record straight.

She told viewers that her 90-pound Doberman, named Hiwa, could hold its own against the wild beast and that “I can fight, too. I’m pretty sure, at the end of the day, if it was us or the coyote, it would’ve been us.”

But she remembers that one of the crew members of the John Deere commercial shouted at her “Hey, Brock Purdy saved your life.”

As you can imagine, a segment that can’t spell Purdy’s name right wasn’t telling all the facts (seems to be a running trend in news coverage).

While filming a John Deere commercial outside of San Francisco, Purdy looked out and saw something approaching Sara and, as he told Pat McAfee, he saw “this thing trotting by that has a big tail. I was like, ‘That looks like a mini wolf.’ No one else was going to scream, so I screamed, ‘Yo, there’s a coyote!’”

Trying to be humble about the whole situation, hero Brock Purdy continued by saying, “That thing went running off. It could’ve been an ugly day on the shoot, but we saved her.”

We all know that Purdy is telling the honest story about what happened.

The ungrateful news anchor may think that she was never in danger, but we all know that isn’t the case.

First, her dog is literally named Hiwa.

No dog named Hiwa is going to fight off a coyote.

And second, we all know that when that coyote attacked Sara, that feminine empowerment would have left really quick.

She would have been screaming for help once that coyote lunged at her.

We aren’t even four months away from the start of the 2024 NFL season and Purdy is already making clutch plays.
