Travis Kelce just made one stunning announcement that could make him the next Jeff Foxworthy

Apr 24, 2024

Jeff Foxworthy became an American icon when he started doing his iconic “you might be a redneck” bit in 1993.

His franchise grew into books, movies and eventually, a popular game show.

But now NFL star and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, just made one startling announcement that could make him Foxworthy’s replacement.

“If you own a home with wheels on it and several cars without, you just might be a redneck”

Jeff Foxworthy has done it all.

He’s sold-out arenas with his stand-up comedy routine.

He’s released six comedy albums.

His Redneck 12 Days of Christmas song reached number 18 on the Hot Country Songs charts during the 1995 holiday season.

He starred in his own sitcom.

And he hosted a hit game show, “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

Now, Amazon Prime is looking to bring back the series.

However, they have someone else in mind to fill Foxworthy’s role as host.

“You may be a redneck if . . . you think you are an entrepreneur because of the ‘Dirt for Sale’ sign in the front yard”

Apparently, all the time Kansas City Chiefs star tight end, Travis Kelce, is spending with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, is giving him the entertainment bug.

Last month, Bounding into Sports reported that nine-time Pro-Bowler was looking to star transitioning from the grid iron to Hollywood.

And it appears Kelce might have his first entertainment gig lined up.

TMZ is reporting that the Amazon Prime original reboot of “Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?” will be renamed, “Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?”

And according to TMZ, Kelce will indeed play the part of the host.

“I grew up loving game shows,” Kelce told TMZ Sports. “And I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with ‘Are you Smarter than a Celebrity?’”

In maximizing his relationship with arguably the biggest pop star in the world, the three-time Super Bowl champion already appears to have one cleat off the field and out of Kansas City.

Along with singing on to host a streaming-service game show, Kelce has already made multiple appearances on Saturday Night Live, has a “reality” series Catching Kelce and co-hosts a podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce.

“If you bought a VCR because wrestling comes on while you’re at work, you might be a redneck”

The entertainment bug must be contagious.

Swift passed it to Travis, and it appears Travis may be passing it to Jason.

Along with his podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce – who recently retired as the Philadelphia Eagles long-time center – made a guest appearance beside Eagles left tackle Lane Johnson, on night one of WrestleMania.

The offensive line duo helped Rey Mysterio and the good-guy Latino World Order defeat their bitter rivals Santos Escobar and Rey’s ungrateful son Dominick Mysterio to a huge pop from the Philadelphia crowd.
