Yellowstone is about to start filming its final season but no one knows if Kevin Costner will return.
He finally broke his silence about the man who will make that decision.
And Kevin Costner made one confession about Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan no one expected.

Yellowstone star Kevin Costner had a falling out with the show’s creator Taylor Sheridan over scheduling issues for his new movie Horizon and pay.
The beloved series is set to begin filming shortly the second half of its fifth and final season which is scheduled to air in November.
And it’s still up in the air if Costner will return to conclude the storyline for his character John Dutton.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Costner revealed that he was willing to work with Sheridan again in the future.
“He’s doing special work in a lot of different ways,” Costner said. “He’s very prolific about the things he does, and if he sees me in something that he wants to do, I’ll look at it just the way I did Yellowstone and maybe we will end up doing something together.”
Costner put the ball in Sheridan’s court if they would ever work together again.
“He likes a lot of the things that I like, and the idea of us working together is not out of the question for me,” Costner continued. “The subjects he chooses are very interesting to me. I like a lot of that stuff. Yellowstone stands as something that could continue. But that is a Taylor question. But other things that he’s doing I think are really, really good. He likes the same subjects that I do.”
Costner said in an earlier interview that he was willing to return as John Dutton in some capacity in the show’s final episodes.

But he did drop one tidbit that appeared to be a bad sign for his return to Yellowstone.
“No, we haven’t [talked],” Costner admitted.
That fact that Costner and Sheridan haven’t spoken with shooting on the show set to begin in weeks isn’t a good sign.
Costner is set to promote Western epic Horizon, which is releasing the first two movies in the series this summer.
And he’s going to be filming the third and fourth movies in the multi-part saga this summer as well.
Sheridan became upset with him over his focus on Horizon.
Deadline reported that this was “a source of frustration for Sheridan” and the rest of the cast on the series.
The Yellowstone creator told The Hollywood Reporter last year that he was “disappointed” about Costner’s exit but it could be worked out with a phone call.
“My last conversation with Kevin was that he had this passion project he wanted to direct. He and the network were arguing about when he could be done with Yellowstone. I said, ‘We can certainly work a schedule toward [his preferred exit date],’ which we did,’” Sheridan said at the time.
