Tom Brady is one of the most decorated players in the history of the NFL.

But he sees a problem with the next generation in the game.

And Tom Brady warned NFL rookies about ruining their future with this big mistake.

Tom Brady talks to NFL rookies about what it takes to be a champion

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady knows what it takes to succeed in the NFL.

An intense competitor, he was still playing quarterback at a high level when he retired at 44 years old after 22 seasons in the league.

Every rookie coming into the NFL aspires to greatness but not everyone will achieve it.

Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin hosted six first-round draft picks from this year’s NFL draft for an event with Brady and rapper Jay-Z.

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers, and Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers were in attendance.

The event was put on to give these rookies advice about succeeding in football and business.

Brady, the most successful quarterback in NFL history, was ready to impart some wisdom to them.

The former New England Patriots quarterback cautioned them that they need to put their team goals ahead of their individual ones.

He said younger players are often too focused on building a brand via social media versus putting their team first.

“When you have 53 guys on the team, you think it’s about you. It ain’t about you. It’s about us,” Brady said.

“And the biggest problem I see with a lot of the young players today, you guys are making it too much about I and me,” Brady continued. “Because of social media, because of branding and all that. It’s fine . . . you’re not going to win.”

Plenty of players have become stars in the NFL without ever winning the Super Bowl.

“There was a difference between being a star and being a champion,” Brady warned.

Jay-Z told the rookies that their talent only gets them in the door.

“Your talent gets you there,” Jay-Z said. “Your work ethic and your discipline takes you to where you want to be.”

Brady offers a lesson from his legendary career

Michael Rubin also stressed the importance of having a strong work ethic.

“I’m unrelenting, like I will not quit in anything I do and I never got there on, you know, educational background and never got there on skill. It was work ethic and hustle,” Rubin said.

Brady was known as one of the most relentless competitors in NFL history.

He said he told them that greatness began on the practice field.

“Every day of practice is important. You know why?” Brady asked. “Because when I was on the Patriots, and we had 20 years of winning, every day was a big day. I treated a preseason game, I treated a regular season game like it was a Super Bowl. So, when I got to the Super Bowl, it was just another day for me.”

“There should be nobody in your life that should have higher expectations for you than you,” Brady added.

Without a doubt, getting valuable advice from Tom Brady is priceless for these rookies as their NFL journey begins.
