An author revealed this scary secret about Ozzy Osbourne that confirmed the worst

Ozzy Osbourne earned a reputation for his wild behavior as a rock star.

He was willing to push the envelope during the peak of his fame.

And an author revealed this scary secret about Ozzy Osbourne that confirmed the worst.

Author claims that Ozzy Osbourne used to dance in a graveyard near his recording studio

Ozzy Osbourne earned the nickname “The Prince of Darkness” when he was the lead singer for British heavy metal band Black Sabbath.

During a concert in 1982, he bit the head off of a bat that a fan threw on stage during the show.

Osbourne claims that the bat bit him, which forced him to get a rabies shot.

Tiffany Murray grew up around musicians at Rockfield Studios, a recording studio in Wales, where her father worked.

Queen, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Robert Plant, and a slew of other famous musicians recorded there.

Murray collected her stories from growing up around the music industry in the book My Family and Other Rock Stars.

She said that Osbourne lived up to his reputation as the Prince of Darkness.

Murray recalled seeing the “Under the Graveyard” singer in a graveyard near Rockfield Studios howling at the moon when she was a kid.

“He truly scared the living s*** out of me,” Murray recalled. “Even now, encountering Ozzy Osbourne in a graveyard at night would be the stuff of nightmares.”

Osbourne made it up to her by buying her toys from Harrods, a luxury department store in London.

“I still have the three little felt hippos, although the eyes are missing,” Murray said. “That episode taught me that rock stars have license to do really big wrong things but also the resources for really big sorrys too.”

Murray also recounted how she would see Osbourne shooting a shotgun outside the studio.

“It was therapy for him,” Murray remarked. “I don’t think you could do that now under current health and safety regulations.”

Ozzy Osbourne hoping to put on a farewell concert

Osbourne has dealt with a variety of health issues in recent years including a series of spinal surgeries after he suffered a nasty fall, which has kept him from performing.

He’s set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year for his solo career after going in with Black Sabbath in 2006.

Fans are hoping that he might be able to put on a brief performance during the induction festivities.

Osbourne said “you never know” when asked if he would perform.

His wife, Sharon Osbourne, said that his touring days are behind him but he hopes to perform a couple of farewell concerts in Birmingham, England where he grew up.

“He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly,’” Sharon Osbourne said. “We will do it in Aston Villa where Ozzy is from.”

Fans will hopefully be able to see the Prince of Darkness perform one last time.
