The Jacksonville Jaguars GM just took press conferences to a new low.
You want to put your best foot forward when you hold a press conference.
This is especially true in the NFL where franchises cost hundreds of millions of dollars and you want to give the fans and players confidence in the front office.
But the GM of the Jaguars just took this recent press conference to a new low that no one saw coming.
Not all NFL franchises are built alike
In the NFL, there are many ways to tell the difference between the haves and the have nots among the franchises.
For one, just look at how the teams play on the field.
The franchises that continually suck continually lose on the field.
And the franchises that have made it have multiple rings to show for it.
Another way to tell if a franchise is elite is by looking at their facilities.
When your guard rails can’t even hold fans back and from falling onto the field, like they do for the Washington Redskins, you know that the franchise is one of the worst of the worst.

But another way to tell the level of accomplishment that a franchise has achieved is to watch the team’s press conferences.
For instance, look at the difference between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins when it comes to their press conferences.
The Cowboys have enough money to have all the latest bells and whistles with a production crew that would match anything ESPN could put together.
But on the other hand, you have the Washington Redskins who do the NFL equivalent of doing pressers in their mom’s basement.
You are lucky if the Redskins have a working microphone let alone a nice clean room for live press conferences.
But if there was a team that gave the Washington Redskins a run for their money as the most dysfunctional NFL franchise it would be the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jaguars’ General Manager just lets it rip
Last Thursday, the Jaguars were giving a press conference on where the team and franchise stands while heading into the NFL Draft.
And the question and answering was what you would expect with dumb questions and general responses.
But then something happened that no one expected.
Jaguar’s general manager Trent Baalke was talking about the final draft board for the big night this week when, out of nowhere, the man stopped talking, clinched, farted, and kept rolling along.
And he didn’t lose his manners either as after letting it rip he told the press group, “excuse me.”

Now some people are sickened by Baalke’s passage of gas.
But, to be honest, that is one of the most dominant things you will see on television.
Baalke could care less if you heard him shart his pants.
But, this is also the biggest showing of where the Jaguar’s stand as a franchise.
The Jaguars are on the cusp of being a great team, but they always have something happen that makes them crash and burn during the NFL season.
So what better example of the franchise than a perfectly good and normal press conference to be ruined by the general manager’s shart.
